March has been a busy month for the Martin Household. We were blessed with some much needed sunshine...which melted enough snow, that Adelynn was able to create her first snow woman of the year. Although Izzy is the true Youper,
she hasn't taken to the snow....AT ALL!
she hasn't taken to the snow....AT ALL!The girls and I escorted Chris to Milwaukee to cheer on our mighty Finlandia Lions Men's Hockey Team. We stayed downtown and enjoyed the waterpark in our hotel.
Every time we took the girls to swim, Izzy would fall alseep in our arms within minutes.
Within days of returning from Milwaukee, Kelley took the girls to Boulder to visit Steph, while Chris traveled with the Finlandia Baseball team to Florida. Auntie Steph gave us the royal treatment. Trips to the Denver Zoo, Butterfly Pavilion, Children's Museum, and Aquarium were the highlights of our trip! Addy also had a chance to try out rock climbing and Rocky Mountain hiking!
Addy enjoyed the Giraffes at the Denver Zoo
Izzy enjoyed the stroller ride
One of our favorite days was the day we visited both the Denver Aquarium and the butterfly pavilion. Auntie Stephanie was the only one brave enough to hold polly the tarantula.
Auntie Steph took Addy on a hike in the hills behind her house, and then they tried their hands at rock climbing at Steph's climbing gym.
Our trip rounded out with some miniature golf, the Children's Museum, a trip to the foam house, and then lunch at a restaurant frequented by Steph and I as kids (Casa Bonita :))
Although our trip to Colorado was fantastic, it was nice to come home. Addy and I stepped off the airplane in our sandles, and landed in a big pile of slush....Welcome back to the UP! Now that hockey is done, we have family weekends! Needless to say the girls and I are thrilled to have daddy time. We spent our first weekend enjoying frozen Lake Superior with our friends.
We sure hope that everyone is healthy and happy....and enjoying a nice Spring! We love you all....and to those in Seattle....see you in a couple of weeks!
